Sticks & Stones: Incorporating Developmental Play Into Outdoor Learning - Kamille Watson and Vanessa Balthazar

Have you ever heard from your students during outdoor learning, “Look I found a stick!” Did you know that a simple stick presents multiple opportunities for learning? Sticks can be used to address fine motor skills, increase number concepts, and help understand spatial relationships. Outdoor learning is an extension of the classroom. Join us to learn how you can capitalize on children’s natural curiosity during outdoor learning using materials students find in nature


An Interactive Look at the CLASS Infant Tool
Dr. Sherrel Pointer  (2 Clock Hours)

Participants will learn the behavior markers associated with each indicator and Dimension using the Infant CLASS Tool. Participants will learn hands on techniques to use in the classroom to help their classroom score an excellent rating by implementing the skills and tools they will learn in this training.
