Dianna Constant has been part of the Agenda for Children team since 1990. She has over forty years of experience in early childhood education. She spent twenty years directing and operating her own childcare center and has more than two decades of experience as a trainer and technical assistance advisor for early childhood programs.

Bubbles and Boundaries: Self Care for Teachers in 2025
by Patrick Sciambra, TIKES
This presentation is intended for all early childhood educators. Teaching young children can be incredibly stressful! Research clearly shows that caregivers who are stressed are more likely to use harsh discipline. This session address stress management and self-care in a fun and educational way. Teachers will learn about stress and how it impacts both the brain and the body. Participants will then gain insight into how trauma impacts functioning, explore the importance of setting healthy boundaries, and finally will develop their own individualized self-care plan. We aim to support teachers in taking care of themselves, so they are better able to take care of the children in their classrooms!
1:15 - 3:15 PM

Playing with a Purpose - Sydney Bordelon, LOTR
This two-hour workshop is designed to empower early learning educators on the importance of play to target age-appropriate skills. The session includes instructional information as well as hands-on opportunities to incorporate the skills in the classroom. Sensory Integration: What the heck does that even mean? She is originally from Baton Rouge, but she and her family currently reside in Central Louisiana.
