MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION & EPINEPHRINE TRAINING

Medication Administration Training is a 3-hour Health & Safety ZOOM Class that provides guidance on the safe and proper administration of medications in the child care setting. The training emphasizes adherence to established policies and compliance with state regulations. It also includes a focused segment on recognizing and responding to anaphylaxis, with instruction in the use of an EpiPen, as well as a discussion on developing and implementing an effective emergency action plan.

Denise has been a health and safety advocate for children and young adults for over 20 years. This includes over 10 years experience as a pediatric nurse and over 20 years experience as a Child Care Health Consultant. Both roles involved training on various health and safety subjects to child care providers in a variety of settings. Denise is the retired Director of Campus Health and Safety for Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU). Responsibilities included conducting various student focused health and safety presentations. Denise earned the Franciscan Service Award, the highest recognition awarded by the FMOL Health System. Denise enjoys working with child care providers and continues to offer her consultation services and health and safety trainings.
